Lake2River Co-op Local Foods Benefit

Featured at the event will be local, seasonal, foraged, and prepared food by local chefs and some wine and beer to pair. Participating will be General Manager and Chef BJ Sulka from Springfield Grille in Boardman, Clint Kifolo Executive Chef of YSU, and Tom Delgenio Executive Chef at the Lemon Grove. The food will be feature pasture raised meat, gluten-free and raw vegan options to accommodate all eaters with spring favorites like wild mushrooms, asparagus, watercress, ramps, strawberries, spring greens, goat cheese, fresh herbs, and Lamppost Solar Powered Chicken. Also, some of our producers will be joining us during the evening to talk to everyone about local products and what they do.
The cost of attendance is $35 and will include a glass of wine or beer and more will be available for purchase. This event is a fundraiser for the Lake to River co-op for local farmers and producers being started in Youngstown and the surrounding 15 county area to serve local institutions and restaurants. Checks to be made out to Common Wealth, Inc. As a 501 c-3 any value above the direct value of food is tax deductible, which would be $20

Join Goodness Grows, an ag ministry from North Lima, as a co-sponsor by helping to forage food from local farmers that will fit into our menu, publicizing the event or gathering donations to make this event a huge success.

I will be obtaining tickets in the very near future but in the mean time you can contact me about being put on the reservation list and then be able to get a ticket soon. There will only be space for 150 people. If you cannot come and want to sponsor someone or partially who cannot afford to pay the full ticket price please let me know as well.
